Daniel Snape - Senior Coach
Dan joined the Excel team in 2012, but he has been coaching since he was 16 years old, starting in the world of athletics at Notts A.C. Realising his passion for sport he went on to achieve a Btec national diploma in sports science. From there he went on to work for both Nottingham city and county councils, before becoming the play sports invasion coach based at Broxtowe borough council. He moved to Excel in 2012 and holds a variety of coaching awards including: Level 2 Athletics, MS2 & MS3, AOTTs, SAQ P award, Trampoline coach and coaching young performers. He also has level 1 awards in football, basketball, netball, hockey and TAG-rugby. Aside from mainstream sports Dan holds disability coaching awards in Boccia, zone hockey and coaching disabled performers, while also being a qualified tutor in CSLA, JSLA and Boccia.
David Plant - Senior Coach
David is our Senior Football coach qualified to Level 3 UEFA B with youth modules as well. H

e has a keen interest in all sports with a desire to allow sports to be taught in a comfortable environment. He is also a football coach in the Notts County FC academy working across the foundation phase with 8-12 year olds. and coaches the AFC Mansfield under 18 team with the responsibility of developing talent and providing players to go onto play for the senior team, who currently play in the northern counties east league.
Mark Cook - Senior Coach
Mark is level 2 football coach and a level 1 cricket, tennis and badminiton coach who is currently working towards his UEFA B Licence. He has worked for Excel since 2009 coaching a number of sports in local schools. Before that he worked for Notts County football in the community and the centre of excellence coaching the under 12's team. He also currently works for the the Nottingham school's FA coaching the under 14's and at Stoke Citys development centre.
David Turner - Senior Coach
David has been coaching children for over 20 years. He began coaching in leisure centres progressing to sports development within the local government. He now provides PPA cover for schools during term time, while he has also worked for us since 2008, leading many of our holiday camps when the schools break-up.
Mel Binch - Dance, Zumba and Cheerleading Coach
Mel is a professionally trained dancer, who trained at The London Studio Centre in London as well as a fully qualified group exercise and fitness instructor. She has been with Excel since 2011 and teaching children, young people and adults dance and fitness for 11 years and Zumba for 2years.
Kelly Jepson - Dance Coach
Kelly has danced for over 12 years and trained in a variety of styles from street dance to ballet. S

he studied dance for 3 years at Clarendon College in Nottingham, where she gained her national diploma in dance. In 2011 she passed her IDTA student teachers exam with honours and has been working in schools ever since then.
