What Makes Us Different?

Why choose Excel over other coaching companies? Well, we've all worked for the other companies and can offer you and your child the same experience. But, we can also offer you a more personal approach. To us, you are not just another number. We get to know each child and are able to spend the time to really understand their individual needs and abilities, helping them to develop at their own rate.

We are also all graduates or undergraduates of a Sports Science related subject, giving us valuable academic knowledge to add to our practical experience. You can rest assured that your child is in very capable hands.

Our Coaching Team

Seb Bloom - Manager

Seb is a qualified coach in football, rugby and athletics and has significant experience having worked for the largest sports coaching company in the UK, the number one football coaching company in the USA and a professional football club. During this time, he has coached more than 50 schools and teams.

Seb is responsible for the recruitment, selection and training of all coaches, while carrying out regular assessments to ensure  that our high standards are maintained.

He has a degree in Sport Science and Management from Nottingham Trent University. He also works for Chesterfield F.C. at the Centre of Excellence, coaching the under 13's and under 10's teams and is currently undertaking his UEFA B football coaching license.

Jack Jearum - Assistant Manager

Jack is a full-time member of the team having been with us since we launched and is an experienced coach qualified in both rugby and football.

Jack has also obtained a Sport and Exercise Science degree from Nottingham Trent University.

  
 

Shaun Burke - Senior Coach

Shaun is a Level 2 qualified football coach having gained previous experience with Blackburn Rovers. He is the Nottingham Trent Mens 1st XI Manager  and also coaches the English Universities national team.

He has a degree in Sport and Exercise Science and is also undertaking his UEFA B coaching license.



Chris Rossington - Senior Coach


Chris is an experienced Level 2 qualified coach. He has previously worked for Nottingham Forest, Notts County, Mansfield Town and Leeds United.

During his spare time he also manages to coach the Womens Premier League team Leeds Carnegie and runs The University of Nottingham womens football team.

Chris has worked in America too,  having been out to Minneapolis to coach on several summer camps.

Michael Stepney - Coach

Michael is a Level 2 qualified coach. He has previously worked for Reading F.C. and Farnborough Town and has a wealth of experience in coaching children.

He is also currently studying Sport Science and Management at Nottingham Trent and represents the University Rugby League Team.
